Why animation? I grew up loving movies, but animation showed me there was no limit to what could exist on screen. It combines storytelling, acting, cinematography, visual art, programming, and physics into one medium. Every time I animate something, I discover another piece of the craft that I want to understand.
This was a fun one. Below is the work in progress montage for my Eternal Ascent 3D Render Challenge entry. Showing from initial template, blocking out the major features, fine tuning, and the final renter. Originally I had a completely different concept, but then was driving home and heard a story about the cherry blossoms in Washington DC, and had this image of a samurai walking up the stairs with raining cherry blossoms, so I switched to that instead.
This is a work in progress montage of the various renders I did while working on my entry for the Endless Engines 3D Render Challenge a few years ago.
Here is the opening title sequence for Age of a Golden Dawn, a Dungeons & Dragons actual play show I did with some friends over at BrickRPGs. We’re filming our second campaign in the same world right now and will be releasing episodes soon.
I also have a YouTube channel where I post tutorials for doing computer animation with Blender.
